Manouk is a professional writer. She has been attending ROBERT MCKEE script writing workshops in London, SCRIPTPLUS in Amsterdam, Creative Writing LOI and followed a course script writing at ENDEMOL Productions.

She wrote travel articles for several Dutch magazines, columns about London for the newspaper ‚HET ALGEMEEN DAGBLAD‘ and columns about London and spirituality for the glossy women’s magazine ‚NOUVEAU‘. Her first novel, ‚ZINGEND RIET‘, was published in 1996 by Fontein. In 2011 she interviewed musicians and crew members of The André Rieu Orchestra. The articles she consequently wrote were published in ‚THE GLOSSY ANDRE RIEU MAGAZINE‘. Her roman DE RODE DRAAGDOEK has been published in Spring 2019 at Aspect Publisher. She is now working on her next roman with the working title ‚De Witte Wereld’

LATEST BOOK

Seventeen-year-old Ana, abandoned and pregnant, is volunteering in Uganda with damaged elephants.

After the birth of her baby, she returns to London where she leaves the child for adoption.

Increasingly desperate, she then tries to pick up the thread again, which brings her to the limit of what is still bearable.

Eventually she realizes that going back to Africa and the elephants is the only way for her.

There is a big surprise waiting for her after many years of hard work.
